Feb 13 - Happy New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year, that is. D had fun learning about the Chinese New Year in preschool. He was excited to find out that he was born in the Year of the Rooster but even more excited to get some chopsticks ("cheater chopsticks" is what his teacher called them)! We just had to cook some noodles for dinner (only noodles were valid in D's mind) so he could try them out.

Warming up the chopsticks (he has his fork just in case)

"Hurry up with the noodles, mom!"

He did a good job and ate his whole dinner using his chopsticks. It was fun for him and maybe a good way to get him to eat more!

Since the camera was out, Paul snapped a few pics of Lieutenant's eating routine. I'll walk you through it. (The routine is applicable for all meals.)

1. Dump out entire contents of bowl directly onto tray.

2. Completely disregard all eating utensils.

3. Love yourself and the huge mess you are making.

And not pictured (at least in this post)...

4. Wear your bowl as a hat
5. Massage leftover food/beverage into your scalp
6. Throw bowl, cup, and utensils onto the floor
7. Throw or splash leftover (if there is any at this point) food/beverage onto the floor
8. Get really angry and cry until someone gets you out of your chair
9. Get out of your chair and then get really angry and cry until somebody lets you sit on their lap while they "finish" their meal
10. Repeat as many of steps 1-9 as possible using someone else's meal
