I apologize in advance for the onslaught of pictures that is to follow...
Yesterday Provo City was putting on some sort of "fair" in the Provo Towne Centre parking lot. I can't find the official name of the event, but it should've been called "D's wildest dreams come true". Different booths were set up for each city department that you could go visit and get all kinds of loot like candy, pencils, stickers, toys, balloons, popcorn, yo-yo's, badges, construction and firefighter hats, and much more. It was awesome! All of the different city vehicles were on display - garbage truck, fire trucks, rescue trucks, police cars - and they even had the Life Flight helicopter make a landing in the parking lot, which was so cool! The fire department set up a mock propane fire and had some firefighters extinguish the blazing "tree". Special appearances were made by McGruff, Smokey, and Cosmo. They also had some of those trucks that are used for fixing things that are up really high, like power lines (I have no idea what they are called), and they were giving rides on them! Paul and D went for a ride (I opted to take pictures) and they were up SO high. Paul said that D kept saying "high" while they were on it. Even though the weather was cold and gloomy, we had a great time and are super glad that we went!
