The scale is now taking up permanent residency under the bathroom sink (don't worry Mark, we can still get it out when you come over).
Yup, a potty. After talking to a good friend who had her first kid potty trained at -are you ready?- one and a half and is currently training her third who is six months old, I figured, what the heck. So I bought D a potty. Now, I am not delusional enough (or am I...I did buy the potty...) to believe that D will be potty trained any time in the near future, but it can't hurt right? He does make "toot" noises after he poops, so he's got to be connecting the dots a little bit. I tried putting him on his potty after a nap one day without his diaper on and, wow, was he angry. I haven't tried it since, so for now I guess the potty's role will continue to be something that is toted around and excellent for storing toy trucks...

I don't really remember exactly when Mimi was totally potty-trained..but she was doing really well by the time Buddy came around (at 20 mos). But the child MUST be ready for it. Buddy REFUSES to have anything to do with the potty (he'll be four in a few months.) Good Luck! It a big step!
