The hike

While Nana was at the family history library, Papa, Suzanne (their foreign exchange student), and I decided to take the kids up the canyon on a small hike to Bridal Veil Falls. Lt even skipped his nap because I knew he would absolutely love it. I don't have much commentary because what do you say about a hike...we walked. A lot. Well we did. We brought the stroller for No-no to ride in, but he only lasted about 60 seconds in it before he started crying at which point he got transferred to the Baby Bjorn where he proceeded to cry without stopping until we got to the falls and he finally gave up and fell asleep. Papa pushed Lt in the stroller instead so we could make it to our destination in less than three hours (Lt likes to stop and smell the roses. Literally.). When we got to the falls the boys had so much fun gathering rocks and throwing them in the water. They could've spent hours there. Not me. I was completely frazzled waiting for one of them to fall in. But nobody did! We let them throw rocks for a bit (to make the walk up there worth it!) and then Papa pushed them both back down in the stroller. It was exhausting (not the hike - taking three kids out). I was glad Suz was in the back on the drive home to keep popping that binky back in No-no's mouth so he wasn't screaming the whole way home (the child hates his car seat). Enjoy the pictures!
