Tub buddies

I saw a clever idea on my friend Jen's blog a while back and decided put it to good use. Last night when Snacks wasn't due to go to bed until 8 due a mandatory late nap (due to fussiness [due to another ear infection]), we decided to throw him into the tub with D. D absolutely loved it. He thought it was the greatest thing that had ever happened. Snacks loved it too. He was splashing himself in the face the entire time. It took so long to get any pictures of him even looking in the general vicinity of the camera because he was so focused on splashing and he would not be disrupted. My only question (for Jen) about the Bumbo in the tub, is how do you keep it from floating around?? We tried to suction it to the bottom, but it only worked for a few seconds. Maybe we just need a chubbier baby??

Here was one of our semi-successful attempts to get Snacks to look at the camera - luring him with forbidden (aka brother's) toys. (It worked for like three seconds.)

Seriously, D was loving every minute.

At one point, D had a hold of Snacks' toes and was "cleaning out the toe jam" using a Dixie cup (which was also used to give Snacks a makeshift shower later).

Finally! Snacks in all of his Bumbo tub glory!

So cute! I can't wait until they start having conversations together...you'll have to do a lot of eavesdropping then!

How cute! I wish we would've thought of the Bumbo idea--it would have helped a ton! Also, tell Paul not to ask D if he wants to pee in the sink...little boys come up with that idea all on their own soon enough, trust me. No need to rush it!!

Bumbo in the BATH!?!? Wow...great idea.
(I'm waiting for the answer to the floating problem since my baby is decidedly light-weight.)

I've never used the Bumbo in the tub...maybe you read it somewhere else or maybe I made it up, lol? It's a great idea though! Your boys are too cute.
