Book club

One of the perks of going to school is the monthly Scholastic Book Club. Nana and Papa have graciously agreed to fund D's book addiction, so now, once a month, we get to peruse pages and pages and pages of books. I remember loving those book order magazines sooooo much when I was a kid. Almost as much as the Sears Christmas catalog. Almost. D's October order arrived on Monday, after 10 days of anxious waiting (by me - I was super excited). Well, as soon as D got home from preschool he got right to work. The books are fabulous! Thanks Nana and Papa!!

I'm so glad D loves book orders. They were my favorite as a kid and also as a teacher. Did you know ... the more books the kids order the more points and ultimately free books the teacher gets!!! It's a major bonus! Don't worry, as a teacher I did my fair share of ordering a ton of books with my own money as well! I'm so glad you have readers (and apple eaters... :-)

An early love of books=an early (and accelerated) reader. At least according to me. =) We love book orders around here too!

Oh my gosh! I was the same way! I loved those book order forms! We were always ordering books, maybe that's why my kids have so many books now :) LOVE IT!

Oh...a kid after my own heart! I was addicted to those book order catalogs, although I didn't get to order from them very often. I think that's why I buy so many books now; trying to make up for lost time! Anyway I could give a whole speech about the importance of reading, but just know that it makes my heart happy to see those pics of D. You're the best mama EVER!
