Tradition

The Christmas season would not be complete without our annual trip to the tree lot to pick out a Christmas tree. The selection of pinyon pines (my favorite) was extremely limited (bordering on nonexistent), so we stood around (while the kids ran around) trying to decide if we should just get a tree that was not so great, or pack up the kids, drive to another tree lot, and look for another tree. Did I mention it was freezing cold? We decided to get a not-so-great tree (which actually turned out to be perfect, funny how that works out every time).

The boys seriously had the best time running up and down the rows of trees (trying to outrun the camera).

Caught him!

And him!

And it wasn't too hard to catch him...he's not too fast. (Who dressed him??)

They spotted something way more interesting than the trees. I'm still not sure what it was.

And this is what happens when you touch the flocked trees. (I still don't quite get flocked trees, but somebody must because they had a ton of them at the lot.)

And this is what happens when you forget that the Christmas tree is tied onto the roof of the car (even though the only reason you were driving the car was to go get the Christmas tree) and you just pull into the garage anyway (damage was surprisingly minimal).
