Halloween

So Halloween costumes this year were a fiasco. At first the boys wanted to be Calvin and Hobbes. That would have worked well for D, but Lt would have been, well, a little boy - not much of a costume. So I decided Lt could wear D's old pterodactyl costume and I would make a tiger costume for D. Well, trying to find orange sweats to fulfill my creative dreams did not work out. So I started looking on eBay for tiger costumes. Every tiger costume I watched went for like thirty bucks!! No way! So by the time I lost all 600 eBay auctions I was watching, Halloween was rapidly approaching. I decided to completely shift gears and make the boys Angry Birds costumes. My mom was planning on coming to visit so I knew I could do it with her help/her doing the whole thing. But then she got sick and didn't come at all! So I did nothing. I think I was in denial. Then one day Paul was at the neighbors' house and they just happened to have all their Halloween costumes out and they just happened to have a parrot costume that just happened to fit D. And D just happened to love it. Whew.

D's Kindergarten class had a costume parade at the school that we got to go watch. It was so fun!

And finally here are the little boys getting ready to go trick-or-treating. You can't really see their costumes, but just know that they looked awesome. And they had a great time trick-or-treating! Lt was a little apprehensive, but collected the candy anyway. D gave a hearty "trick-or-treat" at every house and No-no watched the action from the stroller. I think trick-or-treating is going to be a zoo next year! Hmm...maybe that's a good costume theme...

Do a zoo theme, that would be awesome.
