So on D's actual birthday, we had another party...
Lt getting ready to toss some confetti on the birthday boy
The birthday boy after the confetti throw/birthday song was acting like a huge wanny for some reason unbeknownst by anyone.
Not to worry...he snapped out of it when it was time to open presents. And there were so many presents it was ridiculous. It was literally like Christmas. There were tons of presents for everyone!
D got a watch. He LOVES it. It beeps at the top of every hour. And every hour of every day (except when he's sleeping) he tells us what time it is. It's kind of cute.
So excited!
Another top present - Calvin and Hobbes t-shirt! What!!!!
I told you - they were all getting presents! It was insane!!!
"Don't bug me. I'm reading my Calving and Hobbes."
Yup, even Nono got presents. Lots of them.
D is waiting for the grand finale present...
a balance bike!!
And then on to the birthday cake, er, cinnamon rolls. No birthday cake for this kid. He told me for months that he wanted cinnamon rolls instead. Fine by me!!
I can't believe you're six D (I know you're reading this)! Best kid ever!!!!! Some things to remember about you right now... You read Calvin and Hobbes all the time. Sometimes you stop right in the middle of playing so you can read. You try to convince Lt to join you by saying in a very excited voice, "Come on! Let's go read comics!!" You especially love to stay up late and read books in bed (until dad turns the hall light out on you). You just started Kindergarten and you go to your class all by yourself. You even stood up in front of your class on the third day and read a book - soooooo brave!! You still love baseball. You wish you could watch TV all day or play on the computer (or someone's phone) all day, but you can't. You are so easy to please right now: I made cinnamon rolls the other night and we went for a family walk and you pronounced it the best day ever. You are really into Angry Birds. You and Lt race your trucks around the house all day. Your brothers love you so much it borders on idolatry. And they do everything you do. Everything. You are a good example for them. You're still a very selective eater, but we're trying to broaden your horizons. You are very helpful. You always make us laugh. We love you buddy!
