Wacky: Goof Off

I really tried to get the boys to pick Waffle Day this week, but there was nothing I could say to convince them that Waffle Day would be in any way, shape, or form better than National Goof Off Day. So we celebrated National Goof Off Day - March 22nd. Now, in my opinion, this isn't much of a holiday for kids because every day for kids (who aren't in school) is pretty much a goof off day. I mean, what could be different? D read the description provided on the Internet that went something like "blah blah blah video games, TV, reading blah blah blah" and he was convinced that he would get to play video games and watch TV all day. He was wrong. Although we did watch more TV than we normally would (what the heck). Oh, and the boys also ate cold cereal for dinner. If that's not goofing off, I don't know what is! But really, the only ideas I could come up with that were out of the norm were pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey and making paper airplanes. They loved them both. So that's pretty much what our day consisted of. Oh, and goofing off, of course.

Somehow he was peeking. I know it.

He had no idea what was going on.

Pretty good, boys!

That one is fast!

Yup - those are all paper airplanes. The twirly-whirly one is my favorite. I think No-no ate it.

That one is fast too.

Some real, old-fashioned goofing off - no props necessary.
