It's time

Every now and then I get a little collection of photos that don't go together but don't really merit their own posts (in my own mind). So here they all are so I can move them off my desktop and clear my conscience of un-posted photos that the grandparents haven't seen.

HOSPITAL

In honor of everyone being sick, D and I decided to inflict some imaginary pain upon some stuffed animals while playing "hospital". Even though our cases were pretty boring (ear infections, sore throats, cuts, barfing), D still had a good time flexing his doctor muscles.

Tucking in the patients

Getting all of the equipment organized

Apparently I was being a little too loud for the hospital. It's not the library - sheesh!!

Oh...he just couldn't hear the duck's heart...

BABYSITTER

One night when Paul was gone, I really needed to cook something for dinner without little people trying to climb up my leg. While D can be entertained with a variety (small, but a variety nonetheless) of television programs, Snacks will not even tolerate a Baby Einstein movie for more than 30 seconds. In desperation, I turned on a skimboarding movie and ran. I expected to have little ones on my heels within seconds. When I didn't, I peeked around the corner and saw this...

both kids were just sitting there watching the movie!! For a long time (as far as kids are concerned)!!! Thank you STIMULUS!

SO COOL

D brought these little earphones to me and said that they needed to be plugged into something. I told him we could see if they fit in the computer - and they did! Well let me tell you, he thought he was pretty cool sitting there listening to Baby Einstein tunes on his earphones while doing whatever he does on the computer. (I later found out that he took Paul's very expensive earphones without asking permission - whoops!)

PESTO

This pasta might not look as beautiful as it did in real life, but let me tell you, it was the most beautiful bright green you've ever seen. Yesterday D and I picked one and a half cups of basil leaves from our garden and made some homemade pesto. It was seriously amazing. What? Did D try some? See for yourself...

He did NOT try some!!! Notice the plain brown, un-pestoed noodles in his bowl? He wouldn't do it. I had to stage this picture so I could have a picture of him and the pesto together since he helped plant, water, weed, pick, and finally blend the basil. What a stinker!

Oops. My bad. "Deleted by administrator." Anyway, Dr. "D". Has a good sound. Maybe there's a future in the medical profession. Papa could use a good doctor in his old age.
