Here are some details. The teacher has a little "watering can" that she takes around at the beginning of the class and pours water on all the kids heads (aka "magic water"). D did not like that at all. Practically every day he would say "no magic water" the whole car ride there and then up until he got doused. One morning while they were in the pool waiting for class to start, D was of course saying "no magic water" when along came the teacher. She poured some magic water on his head to which he responded, "That's cool!" Ha ha!! Guess he didn't want to make her feel bad. Thanks to swimming lessons, we have lots of other funny stories too.
I got to go with the boys to their final class. It was really fun to actually see all the kicking, splashing, rowing, jumping, singing, attempted bubble blowing, etc. We are most happy that D got a chance for some structured water time, even if he wasn't a big fan. Maybe he was a big fan in disguise though because tonight when I was putting him to bed he kept telling me he was going to swimming lessons tomorrow, even though I kept telling him swimming lessons were over. Hopefully he won't be too sad in the morning!
Certificate of Achievement (He's actually just yawning, even though it looks like he's super stoked to get a certificate.)

He is so adorable! I can't believe how grown up he is. Does he have his driver's license yet?
Way to go D!!!!!!!
D---it takes a lot to have someone pour water over your head. I don't like to get my head wet either. Good going! You are growing up so nicely. Grandma Barker
