Making the conversion

Well, D is now walking 90% of the time and crawling 10%. He walks from the living room into the kitchen then turns around (only to the left) and goes back to the living room and then back to the kitchen and then back to the living room and then back to the kitchen (you get the picture). His balance is definitely improving because now he can walk and push his popper (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) without toppling over.

Even though he is literally inches away from the floor when he takes a "spill" (I don't think they even qualify to be called spills) and it's usually so slow that it's almost like he's sitting down, he always let's out a pitiful little scream. Paul says D screams because he is really disappointed in himself and wanted to be perfect from the get-go (sound like his mom?)...
