It’s now baseball season for the local Orem Owlz, so we took Davis to his first baseball game on Friday night. He broke into tears probably three or four times during the game. Poor kid didn’t really appreciate what seemed to him to be random bursts of screaming and yelling from the audience (i.e. home run). We thought he might get used to it after a while, but every time there was an outburst he looked over at me with his bottom lip quivering and little arms shaking and just started crying. In general though, he really wasn’t fussy at all and so we think that despite the crazy people around him, he had a marvelous time. We definitely had a good time, even though we didn’t have any peanuts or Cracker Jacks and the Owlz lost (at least we think they did...we left before it was over because baseball lasts sooooo long and D had to go to bed).
Paul’s recommendation is that we take Davis to games more often so that he gets used to it…and also to gear up for our big trip to L.A. in August for the Dodgers/Giants game. According to Paul that is going to be a noisy one for sure!

Ahhh, baseball games. We took our daughter Hadley to a professional game when she'd just turned 1. She spent maybe 15 minutes in our seats and the rest of the time racing around the lobby LICKING the garbage cans. Ahhhh, memories... :-)
