Look how much I've grown...

Today was D's 9-month doctor appointment (even though he's just one week away from being 10 months!). The appointments are getting more and more traumatic it seems for little D. This time he actually started crying as soon as the nurse walked into the room, nevermind the shot he had to get, the prick in his toe for an anemia test, having his ears thoroughly inspected (still fluid), and having what seemed like every other nook and cranny probed. Yes, that darned fluid behind his eardrums is not going away! If it's still there at his one-year appointment, then tubes will be seriously discussed yet again. Other than that, it was a clean bill of health. Davis continues to weigh down (ha ha) the bottom of the growth chart with his height and weight. Here are the 9/10 month stats:

Length: 26.25" (5%)

Weight: 16 lbs 14 oz (5%)

Head circumference: 46.25 cm (50%)

Davis has been officially crawling now for the past two weeks. He is so much more efficient at it now though than he was two weeks ago. He can now maneuver all four limbs (not just two), which makes him very speedy. He is also doing much better at keeping that cranium from dragging in the carpet when he is torpedoing around the room. I am trying very hard to find a clever way to get a video clip of D in action posted here so Oma and Opa can see him go. He is also pulling himself up to a standing position (very wobbly) and sat up from the crawl position on his own. Now if he could only figure out how to sleep through the night...

Davis also had his second “real” haircut (using the clippers instead of just trimming his bangs) on Saturday. He does really good and isn't scared of the clippers at all (as long as Baby Einstein is on he really doesn't care what is happening). So all of these pictures are featuring his new ‘do.
