I like St. Patrick's Day. Maybe it's because my favorite color is green. Yep, I'm pretty sure that's it. Let's see how many green things we can cram into our day - it just makes your eyes feel good.
We built a sturdy leprechaun trap again this year in hopes of catching a little lucky guy. Despite our excellent and tested construction, our trap was evaded and our gold was stolen. Lucky for us it wasn't real gold. And lucky for us the leprechaun sent us on a little treasure hunt to recover all of the gold.
I also like trying to see how many green things we can eat on St. Patrick's Day (without using food coloring). I was going to make green mac 'n' cheese for dinner, but at the last minute I decided to make green pizza crust instead - shaped like shamrocks for the kids. It was a big hit! We also had cucumbers, salad, and limeade. For lunch I spent way too long making leprechaun sandwiches for the kids. Once a year, right?

Boss and his shamrock
Wes and his shamrock (I'm funny)
The leprechaun lunches
And I almost forgot about our fun fingerpainting shamrock activity - big mess!
