The deal

After D got his teeth pulled at the dentist, Paul took him to Toys 'R' Us to pick out a little toy. Well, he saw a stuffed toucan that he really really really wanted, but it cost ten bucks so he had to settle for a Lightning McQueen car instead. I told D that if he saved his money for a couple of months that he would be able to go buy the toucan with his own money. So that was the plan. Until...

We stopped at a yard sale one Saturday on the way home from D's t-ball game. We don't usually go to yard sales (unless they're on our street) but this one was pretty close to home and it was at a friend's house, so it was more like we were stopping by to say hi. Well, within 60 seconds of being there, D found the same stuffed toucan that he saw at Toys 'R' Us! In mint condition! And the sellers were willing to part with it for 25 cents!! D was on cloud nine. The toucan was immediately named Pickles (I don't know) AND moved his way to the top of the favorite stuffies list AND was treated like one of the family for like two weeks.

A yard sale score! Pickles was meant to be part of the Barker clan!
