Wacky: Submarines

And on April 11th it was National Submarine Day. I found only one craft online (how did moms survive before Google?) for submarines that would work for my kiddos on short notice ( i.e. not having 10 empty toilet paper rolls saved up). One! But it was so cute and fun that we did it twice. And the boys loved it. And we found it here. And I also wished that we could've found the book she recommends, but alas, our local library doesn't have it in their catalog. So while we were doing our fun craft we talked about periscopes, and that's all we learned about submarines. I thought it would be fun to make sub sandwiches, then I realized that my kids are a couple of weirdo vegetarians (no offense to real-life vegetarians, because these kids are posers). So what else do you do on National Submarine Day? Listen to Yellow Submarine. A lot.

Here are the little boys with a couple of their subs. Do you like D's periscope mustache? He wanted me to ask.

No-no was helping too...helping eat paper and chew on markers.

Check out those submarines!!
