Wacky: Draw a Bird
April 8th was Draw a Picture of a Bird Day. So we did. And because that only took about five minutes, we colored close to a million pictures of birds and also made some little Curly Birds (not pictured, now smashed).
D holding up our drawings.
D's drawing. Pretty cute. He's never drawn a bird before and he was pretty stressed about it. He kept saying that he didn't know how to draw a bird. We just talked about all the parts he needed to draw (head, beak, body, etc.) and he went for it. He even improvised with lots of worms in the grass (and one in the bird's beak), some rainclouds and rain (that's when the worms come out, right?), and three suns.
And now here's Lt holding up the drawings.
When we all started drawing our birds, Lt drew four or five circles on his paper. I just added some heads and feet and then he colored his birds!
One of our many, many coloring pages. D's really into parrots right now for some reason.
Lt trying to hold up all of his coloring pages.
