The after party
After the baby blessing, when everyone who needed to go home had gone home (leaving five adults still in the house), I came out of my bedroom and at the end of the hall caught sight of my sweet little napless newly-two-year-old baby (can he still be my baby when I actually do have a baby?) with an armful of toilet paper (right after I had commented to a friend that none of my kids made or make mischief in the bathroom)...
If you need that much toilet paper buddy, I don't want to know what's in the potty.
Oh, I guess all that's in there is a lot of toilet paper.
Or is that all??! Yikes!!
Oh, it's just an ultra-small, practically invisible piece of toilet paper. Now who put THAT in there!??!
Guess since all of the toilet paper got taken away, now he needs to create a real reason to have some.
He's got the motions down, that's for sure! Kind of. Okay, they're a little backwards, but look - he's sitting on the potty!!! Way to go Lt!!

How cute! X still sits on the potty with his pants on and thinks he needs LOTS of toilet paper to wash away the invisible floaties. Potty training has been a slow, long process at our house but we remain hopeful. BTW, D cracks me up. I love reading his conversational pieces. The kid is so funny! He definitely takes after you! And you can tell Paul I said that. :D
