Birthday, part three

Due to party burnout, we only had three parties instead of the four originally forecast. We'll try harder next year. These pictures are from his official party (the cake makes it official, right?) that we waited to have until his cousins from Oregon arrived. The new Lightning car they brought made it 100% worth the wait (not that he was complaining about having another party...).

D and Uncle Jeff getting some corn ready for dinner

D stoked on the second round of presents

Okay, I'm not sure how this picture came to pass, because he actually really likes this game. And he was excited when he opened it (except I guess for the millisecond when this picture was snapped). We have played it just about every day since we got it.

I LOVE this robot piggy bank from Uncle Jeff. Every time I see it I try to talk in a robot voice and say something about how I like to eat money. D usually just looks at me like I'm loony. Thanks to some leftover apple money and some contributions from Papa, D currently has a hefty two dollars and 49 cents.

Snacks creeping on the new presents

This year D wanted a shark cake. Unlike last year when he actually ate one bite of his car cake, this year I think all he had was one shark tooth. After Paul scraped off all of the frosting. It was actually a good cake though. I've never made a pound cake, but I think that's all I'll make from now on. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. D enjoyed looking at it.

Blowing out the candles! Happy birthday (again)!
