The chase

Paul moved his office downstairs. Now we have an official, convenient, dedicated playroom*. And nobody plays in it. Seriously. There have been more tumbleweeds blowing through that room in the past week than in a Texas ghost town. Seriously. Until today - we set up the GeoTrax and it is now the hot spot. And the best part? We don't have to take it the track apart and put it away. That, my friends, is cause for true celebration.

D loves his GeoTrax trains. He loves them so much that I want to buy 10 more for him. Stat. And after two years, he has come to embrace the concept of remote control trains and now he likes them! Snacks is beyond mesmerized with the RC trains. He can't get enough of them. He sits perfectly still for two or three minutes watching them go around the track, and then the chase is on!

Watching the yellow train come down the hill

Makes a not-so-quick grab for the yellow train

Barely misses it

Chasing it down

Almost got it

Must. Get. Train.
(Don't worry, there is a happy ending...he did eventually catch the train and batted it right off the track.)

I love this picture of the boys watching the trains go around the track. Two cute, too cute little expressions completely engaged in their trains.

*The playroom is in need of some serious renovation (like no more gray walls). All cute, fun, craftsy, creative, playroom decorating ideas please inquire within. Okay, you can just leave an extremely detailed comment with all your terrific ideas for making a playroom fun (thanks already to Jessica M!).

your boys are so cute!

p.s. i don't have any creative ideas for your playroom...mainly cus I don't have any creative ideas period. Plus don't you like the gray? it's very prison-esque.

Papa will do what he can for the room.

My kid (aka husband) also loves RC trains. He would get along with your kids very well...especially now that they have a dedicated train room. Just don't ask him for decorating ideas; he'll take over the whole room.
