Chicken nuggets

You are probably wondering why I'm blogging about chicken nuggets. Well, I will tell you. D has never eaten meat. Ever. Not because we're extremist vegans or anything, just because he's the fussiest eater. Ever.

While I was at Costco today I spotted some dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets that looked pretty nutritionally safe, so I decided to give them a shot...to see if they could persuade D's finicky palate. Boy was he excited to see that box with all the dinos on it. Wow. But I had my doubts. I know my kid pretty well. He requested one of each dinosaur on his plate at dinner. I still had my doubts. We all focused on our own dinos and tried not to look at D. Nothing. Then we made a fun game of biting off the dinos heads/tails/arms/legs and that is when D jumped on board.

So I was wrong. D ate a T-Rex and half of a Pterodactyl.

First bite

Looks like he's going to barf

Nope! He liked it!

Victory!

Wow, that's crazy...I can't believe he hasn't had meat before. I think I ate dino chicken nuggets at your house once, didn't I?

How fantastic. Nothing is better than a food victory. I just had one myself. As I am typing-Brian just brought Bridget out of her room after screaming for a half hour over a bite of food. One Bite!!! Holy cow. Some things are like pulling teeth around here. Now we are on to dessert. Sigh. I think that D and B do look alike. I think that they are twins from the nose down but very different eyes which totally gives them separate looks. How cute. I love Paul's snow angel and the Friday night movie night looks so fun.
