Cookies by D
D is always game for helping me make cookies. Now, when I say "helping", I mostly mean sitting on the counter eating butter while I make cookies. D actually does help by turning the mixer on and off, dumping in measured ingredients, and eating chocolate chips. By the time the cookies go in the oven, he is pretty much over being in the kitchen and ready to do something else. But it's fun for me to have a little helper while he's there. Oh, and just for the record, he won't actually eat any of the cookies, EVER. He just refuses to even taste them. It must be a true love for cooking - he's not just in it for the treats. Oh, and also for the record, the butter pictured below is NOT butter that is ever used in any recipe. D has his own special little cube that I keep in the fridge for him to gnaw on while I am mixing things up. Kind of gross.

Butter straight from the stick? Ew! Although, when I was a kid, my weird snack of choice was...shortening. Disgusting!!!
Ha ha!! That IS disgusting!!!
Butter! What's that little dude thinking!?? I love that you keep his own little stick in the fridge. Instead of a popsicle, here's your stick of butter! ha ha! Pretty funny and cute in a strange kinda way!
I used to think butter was great too when I was 3 or so. I still love it, just ON something. At least he's eating something, right?
That is so cute! Liam is just as picky about eating, which just blows my mind. HELLO CHILD- CHOCOLATE IS GOOD! He just doesn't get it. So funny. You've got to love 'em :)
P.S. A friend at church told me there was a girl on A.I. that looks like me. The same one you guys said. Weird, huh?
Oh my gosh, that is so funny, kind of gross, but more on the funny side. Dayne loves butter. He'll put a tablespoon on for every bite if he can get away with it. I love kitchen helpers. It makes it more fun!
butter from the stick. he's bound to gain a few pounds...if you just feed him 100% butter...how did he decide that was a good thing?
I love when the kids want to help in the kitchen. It ends up being a bigger mess, but worth it. Just be careful, because once they know how to crack eggs, they find any excuse for it.
so he really eats butter? wow! at least he'll get some calories out of it :) HOW ARE YOU?! Miss you!
Ewwww....gross. My little 2-yr-old loves to stick his face in the butter dish coming out with a huge mouthful. Unfortunately he is lactose intolerant so I'm trying to wean him from the butter habit!
...cute Easter photos too...
