One jar of organic applesauce: $3.29
One box of rice cereal: $3.39
One mini-turd: priceless

I just have a few random, funny things to share. First, we (Paul) found a little poop in Davis’s diaper. It was like a grownup poop only on a much smaller scale. What a surprise! I asked Paul if he took a picture of it (I wasn’t really serious...) and he just looked like he was going to throw up. I guess all of that applesauce and rice he’s been eating is turning him (or at least his GI tract) into a grownup faster than anything else has so far.

Over the past few nights Paul has found Davis in some weird predicaments when he wakes up crying at night. One night, Paul went to get the howling monster twice and both times he was up on all fours in crawling position, crying (he doesn’t crawl yet). Another time he had one arm up over the side of the crib and was peeking over the top. And yet another time he was “crawling” into the corner of his crib (head stuck in the corner, legs in crawling motion). I guess he’s just…actually I don’t know what he’s doing…

Davis also now loves to drop things off of his highchair, which isn’t annoying at all. He pushes a toy off and then stares at it (practically falling out of his highchair) until you pick it up for him. This happens at least 600 times a meal.

One more random thing to close this post. We had a little water "situation" the other night; actually it was really early in the am. Anyway, at one point, all of the smoke detectors in the house were going off. Well, Davis slept right through it. Yes, it's true. He'll wake up if you flush the toilet or talk too loud, but smoke detector? Who needs a sound machine...

Oh little D! What a cutie...hopefully he doesn't ever get his chubby legs stuck in the rungs of his crib :) Hope your water situation has cleared up!

On an AI note...can you believe Chris was eliminated?!!!!! Appalling!

Hey Ang,

Davis is darling and I love to visit your site...since we it feels like we live across the country from you two. Sorry we keep meaning to come down there to see you...Maybe someday we can bridge the distance that lays between the Barkers and the Butlers! I would love an email to know how you are doing...if you ever get a spare moment in time. What I see from the pictures your new place looks very nice! I hope you like it!! We'll talk to soon.

Ewwww, I love this game!

Hadley was SUCH a bad sleeper that:

She only slept in 40-minute increments for the first several months of her life. Try "sleeping when the baby sleeps" with that kinda schedule. It didn't happen. I was a basketcase with only a few hours of sleep.

She had to eat EVERY two hours, day and night until she was six months old when my pediatrician mercifully told me to put a stop to it.

At almost 2, she STILL only sleeps through the night maybe 30% of the time. These days, though, we just lay in bed and listen to her screams resonate throughout the house instead of getting her. Ahhh, music to our ears....
