December: Welcome, baby!

We had to leave for the hospital at about 4:30 in the morning for my scheduled c-section. Not only was it unbearably early, but it was very, very, very, very snowy. Very snowy. It was a terrible drive to the hospital. We were a little late, but we made it!

Surgery went great and we were thrilled to meet our sweet little boy. He was 7 lbs 3 oz and 18 inches long - the heaviest and shortest! He has a clever little birthmark. Love at first sight. Until another nickname surfaces, the littlest man will go by Bear on this blog.

When he was born we thought that he looked a lot like Lt (minus the eyebrows), but every day he looked less like Lt and more like himself.

Daddy meets the wee one

Once I stopped shaking uncontrollably, I got to hold my little guy too.

Boy, we spent a lot of time in the hospital listening to this little man's very loud crying. Very loud. Inconsolable. Loud. Wow.

A tiny profile

Oh, Nana came and stayed with me every night so Paul could spend some time at home with the rowdies.

Speaking of the rowdies... We didn't have any hospital visits from these sweet faces because somebody was sick (I can't remember who because after that everybody was sick for a good two months straight). But thanks to modern technology, we still got to see them and they still got to see their new brother. It was a long three days!
