Loose tooth

D lost his first two teeth last June - a year ago! He was a brave little trooper and marched right into the dentist's office and got those two bottom teeth pulled right out. Well, just a couple of months ago (10 months later) he got another loose tooth. He wiggled and twisted and turned and wiggled and twisted and turned that tooth until it was attached only by what had to have been the smallest thread (or whatever teeth are attached by) ever. Either a thread or magic, I'm still not sure. He could literally turn that tooth around backwards. Pretty gross. After a couple of failed attempts by Paul and D to pull it out, there was nothing we could do but wait. Thank goodness that Nana and Papa came to visit when they did... D was helping them carry their bags inside upon their arrival and he either underestimated the weight of a bag or underestimated his own brute strength and literally punched his tooth out when he picked up the bag. There was some blood. And he had to lay down on the floor for a bit (after rinsing out his mouth) because he just felt "all shaky".  But it was out! And in the month and half following that epic event, he has lost two additional teeth and has two more loose teeth as we speak. Good thing the magical tooth fairy has lots of money...

Here he is post-punch-out, pre-laying-on-the-floor.

Nono was not impressed.

Of course Lt was impressed. Everything D does is impressive to him.
