Our St. Patrick's Day preparations started a couple of days early so we could work out the details for our leprechaun trap. We have never made a trap before and the boys thought it was really fun. We covered a box with shamrocks, attached a pipe cleaner rainbow, added some "gold", built some crazy stairs, and then made a sign to entice the leprechaun to check it out. At the top of the box there was a trap door that the leprechaun would fall through before he reached the gold...
Our completed trap. Thoroughly tested. By all the boys. At least 50 times each.
Which way is the gold??!
Here are the littles all excited for what the morning might bring (a trapped leprechaun???).
And this is what the morning brought. Not only was the trap tipped over, but all the gold was missing and the leprechaun pulled out every green toy in the house he could find and had a huge leprechaun party.
And if that wasn't enough, the leprechaun sent the kids on a scavenger hunt to recover their gold. They loved it.
They found all their missing gold and the leprechaun even left them some fun stickers at the end of the scavenger hunt!
Nono was having fun just playing with all of the green toys the leprechaun got out.
Had to include this picture - it's a classic.
After the scavenger hunt the boys enjoyed huge bowls of lucky cereal. Those were the smallest green bowls in the house. A dream come true for them. And that was pretty much all the excitement for the day, although we did have a pretty green dinner...

You rock Ang!! That is the most extravagant St. Patty's Day celebration I've seen yet!
And we had the pleasure of witnessing it all!
