Lots of Easter

Well, it has taken me at least three attempts to sit down at the computer and sort through hundreds of Easter pictures, organize and name them, pick some favorites, format them, upload them, and then narrate. It's a lot of work! In the past for Easter posts I have split the holiday into a few posts instead of one, but this time I'm just going to throw them all in at once and maybe try to keep the chit-chat to a minimum so it's not as overwhelming to read as it has been to put together. On with the show...

THE BASKETS
The boys woke up excited to go on a treasure hunt to find their baskets. D was running around like crazy figuring out all of the clues. Lt lost interest after he spotted his bubbles (about three clues into the hunt).

They loved their baskets this year. Why? Because they got Angry Birds. They were so excited that I don't think they even noticed anything else in their baskets.

I stand corrected. Looks like Lt noticed a plastic egg. Exciting stuff.

No-no didn't get a basket this year and I think he looks kind of sad in this picture. But don't worry, he wasn't really sad - he had a great time playing with all of his brothers' Easter stuff. Next year, buddy!

THE EGGSWell, Lt joined us this year for egg coloring. I think he had fun but it might have been a little too slow-paced for him. Once the eggs were finally all colored and dried, he kept pretty busy putting stickers on them.

Clowns

He really wanted to do everything by himself.

Looks like he's pretty impressed with how the SF Giants egg turned out.

Here's the lineup!

THE HUNT

Our Saturday egg hunt was almost canceled due to inclement weather. It was overcast and rainy all day. Didn't this happen last year?? Oh right - it was snow last year. We waited and waited all day and finally after dinner the rain stopped and there was some sunshine peeking through the clouds. And it was freezing. So Paul hurried and hid the eggs and hustled the boys out back for their egg hunt. The rest of us watched through the sliding glass door. When the hunt was over, big brother shared his eggs with little brother who didn't have quite as many. Loved that.

Mmmmm....marshmallows...

He's pretty excited about the goodies he found!

Um...these hard-boiled eggs withstood about 30 seconds of No-no throwing them around. Cracked and colored and wet eggshells in the carpet = big mess. We tried to run a few indoor egg-on-the-spoon races with the hard-boiled eggs, but that just led to more eggshells in the carpet. So we quit trying to think of clever things to do with those smelly eggs and just ate them. We had a great Easter and hope you did too!
