Anti-nap, part II

So in today's act of rebellion against his nap, D's room was totalled once again and he was standing on his bed with no pants or pull-ups on putting on his third shirt. When I told Paul what he was doing Paul said, "I didn't even know he could put his own shirt on!". Ha ha! You can't see that he's wearing three shirts below, but he is (he wore them the rest of the day). You can see his messy room. He also managed to open the blinds in his room, another feat we didn't know he could do. For some reason, defiance also equals a pillowcase-less pillow.

Despite all the shenanigans, he did take an almost two hour nap...

He's just a bit late with the "terrible twos". So long as he's not dismantling furniture or appliances then you can live with the other stuff. Quite funny actually.

Oh it just about broke my heart when naptimes started dwindling down. THOSE were definitely the good old days. But he's a totally adorable rebellious little guy. So how are you adjusting to two?

Ohmygosh...I'm going through this exact same thing with my little Drew! I am starting to mourn the loss of his nap time because I don't know how much longer I can fight it. At least he stays in his room playing quietly for an hour and a half...it's just the cleanup and cranky two-yr-old that I'm not thrilled about. How do you get him to fall asleep?

Ang...this is painful! Xavier is already starting with crazy stuff like this...I am so in for it when the kid actually starts talking. You are a trooper and continually keep me inspired and laughing!

Oh, I finally answered your twilight post a few days ago...sorry for the delay!

I am in desperation mode as I try and hold on with every once of my being to Dayne's nap and Bridget's two naps. I know I've been a little spoiled since Dayne is over 4 years old but let me tell you I love it when I can put Bridget down for her 2nd nap and Dayne down for his and have my "sweet serenity" time and just chill; workout, read, get in the bath, nap, eat, blog, shower!, do my hair, put make up on or just get out of my sweats into something more presentable since Brian is convinced that's all I wear. Oh man, it's hard for moms to let go of. Dayne was anti for a bit but I just held strong and he would have quiet time and then he got sick of that and just decided that he was better off just falling asleep. :D D is so cute and so is little bro. Cute boys.
