Update #1: Davis’s diaper rash was back with an angry vengeance with this round of antibiotics. Good times. We're still soaking his little bum in baking powder and hoping it clears up soon.
Update #2: Rice cereal does NOT help babies sleep through the night. But yes, that does mean that he's actually eating the cereal now. A cheering audience of Davis’s biggest fans (grandparents, uncle, uncle's cute girlfriend, etc.) this weekend provided the lacking encouragement I guess little D needed to choke down the brown goo. (It's not really that bad...I've tasted it.)
Update #3: Apparently babies under two aren't supposed to watch TV at all and Baby Einstein is just a scam to get naive and sleep-deprived parents' money. Of course this is a brilliant plan since naive and sleep-deprived parents are a terrific demographic for scamming as they are in fact naive and sleep deprived.
Update #4: We moved. That doesn't mean we unpacked but we moved. Thank heavens once again for the Perkins who unsuspectingly came to visit the very weekend we decided to move, even though we really truly did try to move before they got here. So they once again got roped into helping, and once again did a fabulous job. Mom spent the entire time packing and cleaning only to report upon their departure that she “didn’t do anything”. I have proof that this is in fact not true because I have no pictures of her with little D…she spent most of her time taking care of the new house so it would be livable. I think the grandparents were thrilled that Davis didn’t shriek with terror upon their arrival and that he seemed to enjoy the extra attention. He did really well with them and with Uncle Jeff too, especially if I wasn’t in the room (the diaper rash didn’t help his momma’s boy disposition much). Davis even went the extra mile and provided Jeff with a courtesy blow out while he was holding him and while he was wearing the outfit Jeff bought him. Little D missed grandma and grandpa so much after they left that he called their cell phone that evening as he often does to chat.
Update #5: Here are some before pics of the new house...you'll have to wait for the after pics until (1) I put more boxes away, (2) there are some legitimate "after" pictures to show, or (3) you come see it yourself.

I cannot wait to see you guys! We are so excited to have the Barkers here in Oregon! Woo hoo! I will be picking you guys up at the airport tomorrow at 1 pm, right? You know my cell, so just give me a call!

Love the new house! I'm very glad you went with different kitchen cabinets... :) I'll probably keep letting Aiden watch the evil videos...maybe just not as often. Kudos to you for getting little D to eat his cereal!
Cute pictures of Davis as usual...you and Paul make such cute babies together! I aways like to check up on your blog to get the updates...and I am excited to see the after picturs of the house. What kind of cabinets did you put in? Did you replace them all throughout the house? Why are baby Einstein videos evil? I am just curious....???
