Stranger danger

So Davis, in addition to having his bangs trimmed for the second time in his life, is having some separation anxiety issues. Heaven forbid anybody but his mom hold him. While this is secretly flattering, it also wears on me after a while. It might be more fun if he was really upset when other people held him, and then when he returned to me he was a sweet, doting little baby...but he is still upset when I have him (just not as upset)! If he can see me, smell me, or hear me, he must have me hold him...not daddy, not well-intended friends, and definitely not complete strangers. Sometimes though, if I can manage to dodge out of the room before he can figure out what's going on, he does pretty good! Unfortunately, this forces me to miss out on the action and go commando from room to room so he doesn't spot me with his mommy radar. But who knows, the new 'tude could be because he's not feeling well or because he has more teeth coming in, who knows.

(I know you can't see Davis's shirt, but it says "big hugs"...
he's such a demanding baby...)

I got to eat breakfast the other day! When I say I got to eat breakfast, I mean without waiting until Davis went down for his morning nap and without balancing him in one arm while trying to shovel spoonfuls of oatmeal down and simultaneously preventing him from grabbing the juice, my toast, my oatmeal, or the pair of scissors on the kitchen table. We got him an exersaucer! He really seems to enjoy it for short periods of time. Paired with his new Baby Mozart DVD, he will sometimes remain entertained for like an hour! WOW!

And on yet
another note, we closed on our house last week! We are officially homeowners again for the third time. Paul is spending all of his free time at the new place trying to get it all fixed up so we can move in. We sure are glad to have him take such good care of us! We'll be sure to post the before and after pictures for all you Trading Spaces fans out there.

Congrats on the house! And on the exersaucer! I told you he'd like it and it gives you an hour to get things done....I just love the Baby Einstien company for that!
