T-time
A few weeks ago D started t-ball. To say that he loves it would be a huge understatement. He has practice once a week and then a game once a week. He looks forward to both each week. If you ask him what his favorite part of t-ball is he will tell you hitting. Or running. While some kids in the outfield are crying or laying down or staring off into space, D is really paying attention to the game the entire time (except for that one time when he overheard Uncle Jon on the sidelines saying something about a bug and then came running over from the outfield to check out said bug). Apart from the hitting and running, weekly highlights include team drinks and snacks, helicopters landing at the hospital across the street, and low-flying airplanes. And so it begins...many years of sports practice and games ahead of us...
Check him out! He is all ready to field that ball (along with all 12 other kids who will all try to field the same ball).

Team cheer before the game
Here he is on first taking a lead. He'd for sure steal if that were allowed in t-ball.
D invites everybody to his t-ball games. Okay, not everybody, just everybody he loves. On this week's roster were Uncle Jon, Tiff and Kennedy, and of course mom and the brothers.
Stretching out

Check out that hustle!! Don't worry - he'll slide even if it's not necessary.
Paul helps coach the games and Lt is right there by his side the entire time. No snacks, bugs, or uncles can lure him to the sidelines. He wants to play with D!
Good hit, D!
Throw it home!
Look at that face - pretty much says it all.

Quite the little man! (Schweaty Jr.) Can't wait to watch him play the game.
Go, D!
Do you think D would invite X to one of his games? It would be a great way to introduce X to the sport. :)
Matthew played t-ball too...I learned that he needed a sticker on him that said .... "HEY I'm a LEFTY!
T-ball...Kindergarten...it all comes too soon!
(Another example of something I haven't blogged about yet either...gee I'm behind)
