Thanksgiving-ish

Thanksgiving is a strange holiday to document with pictures. We don't really take pictures of people eating (because that would be weird) and eating is the main event at Thanksgiving. I don't set a fancy table, so there are no pictures of a Martha Stewart setup. I should've taken pictures of the boys' hand turkeys that they made and that we all wrote something we are thankful for on the backs of, but I didn't. I do have some really random pictures that I am pretty sure we took on Thanksgiving day. Just pictures of the family doing whatever it is that we do on Thanksgiving.

Can you see Lt? While we were all finishing our meal, he took off to the family room and layed on the floor forEVER just playing quietly by himself. Strange.

D and No-no taking a breather from all the eating. I tried but I can't think of one thing that was actually Thanksgiving food that D ate. A roll?? I'm not sure...

And then we spent an hour or so playing some very amateur music (I'm really, really rusty). This picture is extremely poor quality, but I love Lt's dance move in the background. Looks like he's really grooving and it's not even "Once There Was a Snowman"!!

D's instrument choice for the moment was the harmonica. He's pretty good!

Lt is in command at the drums.

So we had a really good day together as a family with Paul's mom and sister and my parents, brother, and Suz. We really did have lots of yummy food (no turkey!) and we even survived not having a dishwasher for all those dirty dishes. Also, I highly recommend that all pumpkin pie be banished and hereby replaced with sweet potato pie. Seriously. You should do it. Hope you all had a great day filled with food, family, and singing!
