First things first

D graduated from his first year of preschool - in May!! And I am just now putting the pictures up. Better late than never, right? His preschool class had a little graduation program...

The event started out looking very optimistic. Upon arrival D gave his homemade cards to his teachers and then we sat down and waited for the program to start. D liked seeing his name in the program.

When the program started, things took a turn toward our more familiar D. Rather than actually participate in the program in any way, shape, or form, he chose the status of spectator - really up-close spectator. He did actually stand in front of the whole room for about three minutes while his teacher gave him his certificate and talked about what an awesome kid he is (and how he knows lots about dinosaurs)!

Nope, he wouldn't even wear his graduation "hat". Lieutenant was all over it. It ended up getting ripped (of course) so I had to tape it up when we got home so I could get this picture:

Going to preschool for 9 months was a pretty big deal for D (the child who never wants to leave my side). And he did great. I think by the last month he actually even liked going!! Every time I picked him up and asked him what he did that day at school he could never remember. But he always remembered what they had for snacks. He liked bringing book bags home. He liked playing outside. He liked dinosaur month. He liked every craft they made. He liked the other kids. He liked writing his name.

We are so proud of you D! Oh, and also, you are growing up too fast...just a heads up...

Your boys are adorable. I can't get over the cute face in his brothers graduation cap! I love squishy smiles =). Congrats on your new baby, I am sure he will be just as cute as your other boys!

Man, no way is he that old. Yikes, I can't believe how grown up {and don't forget genius} that boy is! Wow.
