Granola

Lieutenant is the best little helper in the kitchen. He loves to help set the table before meals and clear off the table after meals. He basically is a little shuttle between the fridge or sink and the table. It's great when I don't even have to get out of my chair to help clean off the table because the little boys clear everything off. Of course, sometimes things get pretty sketchy. Silverware and plates are only handled by D. But sometimes Lieutenant gets his hands on something that makes everybody hold their breath until he makes it to his destination. He loves it. And apparently takes his job very seriously...

The other morning after breakfast I handed him the bag of granola to take to Paul. As it turned out, the bag was not sealed and Lieutenant ended up dumping the entire bag all over the kitchen floor. And then he was so upset about the whole thing that he started crying!! How cute is that!?? Look at his little face - he's so bummed!
