Where's D?

When I have to change a diaper or something else that requires me to leave the family room (aka the fun zone), I ask D if he wants to come with me or stay. Sometimes, not too often, he stays. And sometimes, depending on blow-out conditions, I am gone longer than anticipated. On these occasions I fully expect D to come see what's taking me so long. So when he didn't come in to check on me one day, I really wondered what he could possibly be doing to entertain himself so well (something he rarely does). I found him on the couch with the remote in one hand skipping through the songs on his own CD* that Paul made for him and flipping through literally every page of the Ensign. Whatever works...

*D L-O-V-E-S his CD and listens to it every day, multiple times. Wanna know what's on it? Some Bob Marley, Coldplay, U2, Gorillaz, MGMT, Lipps Inc., Queen, The Muse, Radiohead, Daft Punk, The Killers, The Bravery, and of course, Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"... ha ha!

I think one of the most important things we can do as parents is to teach our children good music. =) The other night Parker saw the full moon outside and starting singing Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London." I was so proud.
