The farm

For our last big family hurrah before the baby came (literally, the day before the baby came) we took D to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. He was totally stoked on all the toy tractors and farm machines in the "gift shop" area. He thought the animals and the rest of the farm were all right too.

I'm pretty sure all the chickens were in cages...

The baby goats were so cute! D wasn't too sure about them licking his fingers however.

Nana spent a quarter to get some corn to feed to the ducks. At first D held some corn right up to the fence and a crazed duck about took his finger off (at least I'm sure that's how it seemed to him). After that, all corn was thrown from the safety of Paul's arms. D's featured commentary for this event was courtesy of Nacho Libre - "Save me a piece of corn...I will come..." Also, don't you think D and Paul look a lot alike in this pic?

Okay, this was the Christmas miracle of the day. D actually rode a pony. By himself. He was freaking out when Paul put him on a plastic cow for a picture, so none of us expected him to sit on a live animal. He did so good!

City slickers find out the hard way why you don't wear flip-flops to the farm (especially if you take your kid on the pony ride).

The last event was the tractor ride. I guess it was fun; D didn't say much about it.

All in all it was a fun family adventure. I think we would do it again. Maybe. I don't know...it was a lot of poop.
