Here are a few fun, new things D is doing now (there are so many that I forget half of them):
> puts a tissue to his nose and blows (he even got a booger the other night)
> offers limited participation in "The Itsy Bitsy Spider"
> crawls downstairs and plays without his parents knowing
> makes a "toot" noise with his mouth whenever he hears anything "tootish" (Paul's favorite)
> hides his toys then immediately looks at us and shrugs his shoulders as if to ask "Where did it go?"

We had a good run
I am sad to report that D's four-day stretch of sleeping through the night came to a bitter end last night. He woke up probably every 1.5 hours all night long. Ugh. So here I find myself today with bleary eyes struggling to function normally (guess I got spoiled from those four days!). I attribute his sleeplessness to some new teeth trying to come in, but let's be honest, that's what I've been saying since he was three months old! (I guess I was right some of the time...) I really do think it's his teeth this time though and I think I even have some semi-scientific evidence. The teeth usually come in in twos, right? Well, he has one huge molar on the bottom missing it's match... (Throw me a bone.) If anyone has any suggestions or advice on getting a good night's sleep, I'm all ears (unless it involves CIO...I am a firm unbeliever in this method).

"I make fart noises with my mouth" -Ron Burgandy
oh dude sorry the run didn't last and on your birthday too! At first I was like what's CIO and then I'm like oh yeah what we made Aiden do off and on and what he still does from time to time you know like tonight....he cried it out till he fell asleep....doesn't always work though....sometimes he throws his "B" and his blanket overboard and then cries his eyes out and there's no calming him till he has them back!
so i guess baby #2 is off again, eh?
