Little boy

I haven't been able to update the blog for a while because D has been sick. We finally took him to the doctor yesterday because he was running a 103+ fever that wasn't going away (of course it magically went away when we arrived at the doctor's office). D has a stuffy/runny nose and a sore throat AND he is cutting about six teeth. He also got his immunization shots last week and the high fever could be from that. Regardless, today is the first day this week that he has taken a nap longer than 20 minutes!

I have included this picture so everybody can see that D has morphed from a baby into a little boy. When I was looking at these pictures after I took them, I thought to myself that D actually looks more like a little boy now than a baby! Wow!

Other fun things about this picture: 1) He really needs a haircut. 2) He really likes to throw golf balls. 3) He likes to put things around his neck (see both pictures) like they are necklaces or something - no idea where this came from. Paul and I are thinking about buying him a rubber snake so he can walk around with a snake coiled on his shoulders.

Other fun things: 1) Whenever we flush the toilet, D opens his mouth really big in amazement (it's a long story how that came about...ask me some time). 2) D now makes his little stuffed dog-rabbit "play" by bouncing him up and down (Paul taught him this one). 3) If you tell D "suavecito", he will stroke your face very gently. 4) If you tell D "turn it off", he will walk over to his sound machine and turn it off. 5) D won't fall asleep willingly unless his finger is in my bellybutton.
