Musical prodigy
Something we haven't been able to do for a long time (Paul and I) is play music. D is not interested in sitting quietly and listening to our less-than-professional performances. He would much rather be pounding on the piano keys too (or climbing on top of the piano or throwing all the music books on the floor) or helping Paul strum on the guitar (or drop pick after pick inside of the guitar). So, since Grandma and Grandpa were in town last weekend, it was the perfect time for us to dust off the music and crank out some DMB and Clapton while Grandma refereed D. We have always had great musical aspirations of our kids playing numerous instruments, inluding piano, guitar, and violin to name a few; but after his debut performance, it is obvious that D's true musical calling is lead tambourine player.
