Crib capers

Davis has officially mastered pulling himself up into the standing position. It's funny now when we go in to get him after naps or in the morning and he is just standing up yelling. He still manages to end up in the most random positions when he sleeps...must be all those dreams about crawling to get to the computer...

Davis's first Fourth of July was pretty uneventful, with the exception of the 6 billion firecrackers that were set off outside of our house three days before and three days after the Fourth. We went back to our old neighborhood for the annual block party which was fun. We skipped out on the parade this year...it's much more inconvenient to go to now that we don't live two blocks away. We didn't even watch the big fireworks from Stadium of Fire. Oh well... we did have the usual fun, family, friends and barbecues which beats out all of the other filler stuff! Paul and I almost even made it to a movie (it would've been the first since D was born) while my mom was here, but we ended up watching the World Cup instead.

So baby toys are funny... we bought D a "walker" which also converts into a little car he can ride on once he can control his balance. He humored us for a while and let us snap a bunch of pictures of him "testing" it out (he never pushed it), but after a while he turned to the real toy - the box. He stood up on that box and pushed it all around the living room (until the video recorder came out, of course)! I am including a picture of another fountain of entertainment for the boy: paper towels. Toys 'R' Us needs to seriously rethink its marketing plan...

Look how PROUD he is of himself. That is toooo cute!

I actually went with a gal for my design who charged me $50 for the whole thing. Her link is on my site, under credits (Nello Design). I'd HIGHLY recommend her. Because she's so cheap, you need to go in there with a pretty good idea of what you want and she gives you a huge choice of stock photos.

Ang,

Thanks for the post! Things have been a little busy here, but there is still no excuse for not posting on your DARLING blog! Davis is officially the cutest boy this side of the Mississippi (who knows about the other side- I can't promise much- J.K. ). I just want to squeeze his little cheeks. We sure miss you guys, especially when it is hot and sunny and we want to have a nice picnic outside. We were so lucky to have you guys so close...all we've got now is a bunch of geese and cows. I hope we can find a way to come to Utah again some time soon....
